Dog Grooming-Brushing

One important aspect of dog grooming is brushing. Not only does it help keep their coats shinny and healthy it also offers you some bonding time with your Greyhound. Brushing is very soothing for greyhounds and can be a very calming activity for the owner as well.
Since Greyhounds have very thin fur coats and sensitive thin skin use a very soft bristle brush that will not scratch his skin. Test the brush out on your inner arm, if it is too rough on your skin it will be the same for your Greyhound’s. So be sure to get a very soft brush. The best is to use a hound's glove or a rubber curry comb. You can also use a flea comb. These items really help to pull out the dead undercoat and reduce any shedding. You should brush your Greyhound once a week or more frequently if you desire. You can find a hound’s glove and other useful dog grooming items at www.animalmagnetism.com
