What's in a Name?
As every dog owner knows, taking their beloved pets for frequent walks is part of the deal. On walks with my Greyhound, Hamlet, I invariably met a variety of dog owners along the way and often stopped to chat about, what else—dogs.
A funny quirk that is unique to dog owners is that they will remember the dog's name but rarely the owner’s.
One day, upon meeting a familiar dog owner, he yelled out “Hey, how’s McBeth today?” when he noticed Hamlet and I coming towards him. I laughed and said, “Right author, wrong play—I have the 'insane prince' not the 'one born of no mother'.”
